When I was a child
I could see the wind in the trees
And I heard a song in the breeze
It was there, singing out my name
But I am not a girl
I have known the taste of defeat
And I’ve finally grown to believe
It will all came around again
And though I may not know the answers
I can finally say I am free
And if the questions led me here
Then I am who I was born to be
And so here am I
Open arms and ready to stand
I’ve got the world in my hands
And it feels like my turn to fly
Though I may not know the answers
I can finally say I am free
And if the questions led me here
Then I am who I was born to be
When I was a child
There were flowers that bloomed in the night
Unafraid to take in the light
Unashamed to have braved the dark
Though I may not know the answers
I can finally say I am free
And if the questions led me here
Then I am who I was born to be I am who I was born to be
SUSAN BOYLE – WHO I WAS BORN TO BE LYRICS
Setting my attention and goal of wanting to have passion for the love of God, led me into His arms in Mother India.
Call “God” whatever name you know, the important thing is to keep calling. To keep heading for His arms. My journey into His arms has spanned the last 23 years. But this time, it was not into His arms, but into His very heart. Dangerous, extremely dangerous, because it means to leave all, to surrender all, and to love what He loves, and to be with who He loves.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
If God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, then I want to be there! So, in the company of orphans, widows, the poor, the sick, the handicapped and the oppressed, I found God and was close, very close to Him. His arms were extended through my loving and generous family in India, too. Bless them!
In coming to know God, you come to know more intimately, yourself.
This tangible love connection leaves you without walls of your own making. It lovingly dismantles old parts of yourself that was not really you. What was left of me, was young wild and free! Free to be, free to discover, to be a child again…
I can finally say I’m free…I am who I was born to be…
…and have the strength, courage and determination to keep discovering…
